Gardiner Museum Lecture, Sandra Ainsley Gallery Exhibition

TORONTO, ON — Dan Dailey presented a photo survey of his recent work and spoke to an audience of art collectors and connoisseurs hosted by the Gardiner Museum on Sunday. The lecture took place in the midst of Dailey’s new exhibition at the Sandra Ainsley GalleryWith forty works from six different series on view, the comprehensive body of work illuminates the exceptionally large new space of the Sandra Ainsley Gallery located a few minutes away from the Museum in the Don Valley Parkway and Eglinton area. Dailey is exhibiting in Toronto for the first time in ten years.

The Gardiner Museum is the only museum in Canada devoted exclusively to ceramic art. It is located on Queen’s Park just south of Bloor Street in Toronto, opposite the Royal Ontario Museum. Its permanent collection of over 2,900 pieces, includes works from the Ancient Americas, Italian Renaissance, English Delftware, Chinese and Japanese porcelain, European porcelain, and a contemporary gallery. In addition to the permanent collections, the museum mounts three temporary exhibitions per year.
